Improving Practices
Much is known about high quality youth programming and effective youth work practice. YPII helps organizations and systems understand and put that knowledge into practice.
Millions of public and private dollars are invested in youth programs every year. Whether or not that investment pays dividends in better outcomes for young people depends on the quality of those programs. And quality of programs depend on a trained and supported workforce. YPII has be a leader in Iowa’s ready by 21 Quality Counts efforts which have brought youth program quality assessments and training to organizations across the state.
YPII also helps develop, test and replicate new and innovative approaches to working with youth and young adults, such as Opportunity Passport™ and the Iowa Youth Dream Team,
